MY NAME IS RIGOBERTA MENCHU'

With author Elisabeth Burgos's collaboration, Rigoberta Menchù Tum proposes an autobiographic book describing the tragic situation in which Guatemalan people has lived oppressed and killed by the Latin Conquistadores.
The Menchù has received in 1992 the Nobel Prize for the Peace, given her "in recognition of her efforts for the social justice and the based etno-cultural reconciliation on the respect for the rights of the native populations"
In the 1991 takings part to the layout from the United Nations of a declaration of the rights of the native people. Rigoberta Menchú is ambassadress for the U.N. and she has returned in Guatemala to work to the change of the country.
